Why We Built This Site
Finding a public docket in Texas first requires finding its custodian. The Tarrant County District Clerk keeps District Court civil, family, and felony files. The County Clerk maintains County Courts at Law, probate, and county misdemeanor files. Precinct and municipal clerks retain their own cases. The site places official contacts, portal choices, cause-number tips, and copy procedures in a single practical reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are found and read in Tarrant County
- Court dates and settings: how to use court date sources and confirm a setting
- Case lookups: how to run a case lookup by name or cause number
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the proper clerk
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to a Texas court, clerk, or state agency. There are firm limits to what we can do:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot promise that every listed phone number, fee, office hour, or setting remains current
Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes found on some content pages. They operate their own services, choose their prices, and control their results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports free public access to this reference. Tarrant County Court Docket does not set partner charges or determine which records a partner returns.
